Save Yourself -- Sense Field

Turn out the light
Just say goodnight to yourself
May I remind you
When you find you
Are all alone is when you
You’ve got to be strong
That’s when they call you in the night
He’s got your picture in his mind
He’s got your number on a paper
At his disposal anytime

Is it really true
Could you save yourself
For someone who could love you for you
So many times we just give it away
To someone who
Someone who

You met in a bar
The back of a car
And for a moment
You felt important
But not in your heart
My self esteem
It’s been low
Go ahead and count
It’s been lower than low
I know the feeling
Of it stealing life out from under me

Cause I want to learn
Can you save yourself
For someone who
Could love you for you
So many times we just give it away
To someone who couldn’t even remember your name
Did you save yourself
For someone who loves you for you
And loves me for me
Give it away
To someone who
Someone who
Can cherish your name

Cherish your name

Trying To Find Atlantis -- Jamie O'Neal

I hear he's out there somewhere
Been looking for him everywhere
From Rosweld to Timbuck too, I thought I found him once at a jiffy lube
But it turned into a dead end so I got my oil changed and I tried again
He was a major in archeology
I was digging on him but he wasn't on me
A girl trying to find herself the perfect man is like trying to find Atlantis

It's a mystery like the deep blue sea
You can take it, you can leave it, but I still believe
So I won't give up and I won't give in
I know I'm gonna find him, I just don't know when
A girl trying to find herself the perfect man is like trying to find Atlantis

I met a mystic down in Memphis we stood at the foot of the pyramid
He had me looking east, He had me looking west
Then he showed me a map and said I wish you the best
There was Elvis, not the real one
When told me goodbye he called me hun
Just another shot in the dark like Eldorado or Noah's ark
A girl trying to find herself the perfect man is like trying to find Atlantis

It's a mystery like the deep blue sea
You can take it, you can leave it, but I still believe
So I won't give up and I won't give in
I know I'm gonna find him, I just don't know when
A girl trying to find herself the perfect man is like trying to find Atlantis

Suddenly I See -- KT Tunstall

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on her word

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see)
Why the hell it means so much to me

I Want A Man -- Lace

Well I know this guy
We have a real good time
I let him get a little close
Do I like him, yes, do I love him, no
We don't fight and all my friends say we look good together
But try as I might I just don't see me with him forever

I don't want a man I can live with
I want a love that leaves no room for doubt
I don't want a man I can live with
I want a man that I can't live without

Well I know this other guy
The kind that mamas like
He wears armani suits
He wants to marry me, he's got money to boot
Imagine that, I'd have a life that's easy to get used to
Matter of fact, there's a real good reason I don't choose to

I don't want a man I can live with
I want a love that leaves no room for doubt
I don't want a man I can live with
I want a man that I can't live without

I don't want somebody
Just to have somebody
That's how I am
I'm that kind of girl
Even if it takes all the time in the world

I don't want a man I can live with
I want a love that leaves no room for doubt
I don't want a man I can live with
I want a man that I can't live without
I want a man that I can't live without

Well I know this guy
We have a real good time
And I know this other guy
He makes me feel real nice
And there's this guy I like
But do I love him, no
'Cause I want a man
I want a man

If You're Going Through Hell -- Rodney Atkins

Well you know those times
When you feel like there's a sign there on your back
Says I don't mind if ya kick me
Seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse
You'd think they can't get worse than that
And then they do

You still walk the straight and narrow
And you don't know where you are
Use the needle of your compass
To sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie
In a bottle of Jim Beam
And she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth

If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Well I been deep down in that darkness
I been down to my last match
Felt a hundred different demons
Breathing fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled
I'd fall right into the trap that they were laying, Yeah

But the good news
Is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holding out a hand to pull you back upon your feet
The ones that you been dragging for so long
You're on your knees
You might as well be free
Guess what I'm saying

If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah you might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah.

I Ain't In Checotah Anymore -- Carrie Underwood

Where 69 meets 40
There's a single stop light town,
And back when I was really young
A part of that burned down.
On any given Friday night
We'd drive a hundred miles
Between the Sonic and the grocery store
Laughing all the while
With as many friends as I could pack
In my daddy's Ford.
But I ain't in Checotah anymore.

My hotel in Manhattan
Holds more people than our town,
And what I just paid for dinner
Would be a down payment on a house.
I'd rather be tipping cows in Tulsa
Than hailing cabs here in New York,
But I ain't in Checotah anymore.

I'm in a world so wide,
It makes me feel small sometimes,
I miss the big blue skies,
the Oklahoma kind.

In a world of long red carpets,
The bright lights of Hollywood,
All the paparazzi flashing,
Could make a girl feel pretty good.
You can get anything you want here,
Except a Wal-Mart store,
But I ain't in Checotah anymore.

I'm in a world so wide,
It makes me feel small sometimes,
I miss the big blue skies,
the Oklahoma kind.

Where the Wildcats beat the Ironheads,
Old Settler's day and the Okrafest,
After prom, down at the bowling lanes,
Catching crappie fish in Eufaula lake,
I ain't in Checotah anymore.

I'm in a world so wide,
It makes me feel small sometimes,
I miss the big blue skies,
the Oklahoma kind,
But I ain't in Checotah,
No I ain't in Checotah,
Oh, there's nothing like Oklahoma.

Where 69 meets 40,
There's a single stoplight town....

I Wanna Be Wild And Free -- Buck Owens

Well, I wanna be wild and free
I wanna blow like an ocean breeze
I wanna run like a river to the sea
Yeah, I wanna be wild and free.

I don't want no strings attached
Lord knows, I have enough of that
I wanna roam like an alley cat
Yeah, I wanna be wild and free.

I wanna bounce like a rubber ball
I wanna roll like a rolling stone
I wanna go when I get the call
Hey, I wanna be wild and free.

I wanna live while I'm alive
Ain't that much, rather take a dive
Than the face at 8-2-5
Hey, I wanna be wild and free.

No, I don't wanna be tied down
I wanna drift from town to town
And when the time comes to lay me down
Well, I wanna be wild and free.

Hey, I wanna be wild and free... !!

Born To Fly -- Sara Evans

I've been tellin' my dreams to the scarecrow
'Bout the places that I'd like to see
I said, friend do you think I'll ever get there
Ah, but he just stands there smilin' back at me

So I confessed my sins to the preacher
About the love I've been prayin' to find
Is there a brown eye'd boy in my future, yeah
He says, girl you've got nothin' but time

But how do you wait for heaven
And who has that much time
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know that you were born, yeah, you were born to fly

My daddy, he's grounded like the oak tree
My momma, she is steady as the sun
Oh you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run

Yeah, 'cause I will soar away like the blackbird
I will blow in the wind like a sea
I will plant my heart in the garden of my dreams
And I will grow up where I'll wander wild and free

Oh, how do you wait for heaven
And who has that much time
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know that you were born
You were born to fly fly fly fly
